Shawna Moznett
With a keen eye for design and a heart for service, I bring a fresh and unique perspective to Society Picnic as Co-owner and Lead Creative. My journey into event planning, styling, and floral design is rooted in years of philanthropic work and a passion for creating beautiful and meaningful experiences.
Before joining Sarah and Society Picnic, I spent my time developing skills in a variety of leadership roles and volunteer projects, where I provided direction and planning for community events, fundraising galas, and local non-profit initiatives. These experiences not only sharpened my ability to craft impactful and visually captivating environments but also deepened my commitment to delivering events that resonate with purpose and connection. My most important roles and achievements, however, are being a wife, a mom to three amazing kids and all my dogs.
In addition to my philanthropic work, I have had the opportunity to develop a personal portfolio of design work, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. My intuitive design sensibility, paired with an understanding of each clients’ unique vision, has earned me a reputation for turning creative concepts into reality with care, precision and a touch of elegance.
I am excited to bring my creative vision and passion for creating beautiful spaces to our business. Co-owner and now dear friend, Sarah Fisher and I aim to create unforgettable events that reflect the personalities and dreams of every client. With over 25 years in the creative industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across visual display, merchandising, design, event planning, and styling. My background in visual display taught me how to tell a story through design—how every color, texture, and detail works together to create an experience. Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do, and I’m passionate about crafting events that are not just beautiful but deeply meaningful. Whether I’m designing a space, selecting the perfect details, or shaping a visual narrative, I pour my heart into every project to ensure it feels intentional, personal, and unforgettable.
I believe great design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about balance, function, and execution. That’s why I approach every event with equal parts creativity and strategy, ensuring that budgeting, timelines, and logistics are just as carefully considered as the artistic vision. My experience in merchandising and display has given me a deep understanding of how people interact with their surroundings, allowing me to create spaces that feel immersive and cohesive. Bringing ideas to life in a way that feels effortless and seamless is what I love most about this work.
